Trelise Baker founded 2nd Chance Living PMI in 2017. She serves as President and CEO and is dedicated to providing resources and advocacy for women who have been in the penal system and deserves support and resources to start again.
As a business owner and community leader, Trelise knows first-hand what it takes to lead and inspire women to be successful in life and work. She leads a dedicated staff and volunteers in planning the strategic focus for the organization’s program, fund development, and sustainability.
Her education background included an Associate Degree from Lone Star College she also is attending school for her bachelor’s. She believes in not complaining about what needs to be done but focus on more on the outcome.
Chief Operation Officer
Brishawna Silby studied Juvenile Justice at Grambling State University and Law Enforcement at Southern University at New Orleans. While at Southern University she interned at the Department of Juvenile Services where she later became the Detention Home Supervisor. She has over 9 years of experience with Family Services. She worked as a Mental Health Professional immediately after graduation in 2011. Brishawna seek to further her education, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Southern University in 2013. Upon completion of her M.A., Brishawna worked as a Juvenile Justice Specialist and a home supervisor with youth involved in the justice system. Over a course of 4 years, Brishawna worked closely and diligently with troubled youth, building rapport with them that lasted outside of the workplace.
Career Readiness DirectorErin Francis has over 24 years of experience in the legal field as a Corporate Legal Assistant, as well as experienced in the areas of Family and Criminal Law. Upon her graduation from Lamar University, Erin worked as a Reading Teacher in a neighboring school district near her hometown of Beaumont, Texas, and was able to fulfill one of her lifelong passions as an educator for a short period. After relocating back to the Houston, Texas area, Erin continued her legal career and perfected her craft as a Resume and Business Plan Writer. Erin established The Career Empress in 2014 after a passion and entrepreneurial mindset merged from several years of assisting individuals in taking their careers to the next level. Her combined experience in both the legal and educational field has allowed her to help job-seekers from entry to executive level in varying industries as well as offered specialized services to harder placed job seekers such as displaced workers, unemployed workers, career changers, workers with a criminal conviction, recent graduates and veterans. Erin has always loved helping others achieve their career goals by offering insight and skill set to break into a competitive job and business market.
Finance and Budgeting InstructorShubhangi Maheshwar received a Master of Business Administration, Finance & International Business, Amity Business School, in 2017 and a Bachelor of Commerce, St. Xavier’s College, in 2014. She started with an American publicly traded corporation headquartered in Manhattan, New York City. Its primary areas of business are financial information and analytics. In 2017 she became a Data Researcher- General Fundamental department, then moved to the Order to Cash team as a Client Relations Specialist. Within these two roles she was responsible for resolving queries from both internal and external clients; triaging billing issues and problems related to client access to the products. She ensured requests were handled within the turnaround time and closed after client and confirmation. She made processes LEAN and more effective provided clients a good experience to connect utilizing her Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
